Tim Zawislak B.Comm., Law Dipl., ICD.D
Tim is a seasoned President & CEO as well as board member who has led international public companies in Canada, Europe and the Middle East, as well as private companies in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin energy infrastructure manufacturing and services sector. His professional background entails extensive experience in successfully executing intricate structured finance arrangements for oil and gas midstream infrastructure transactions with CIBC, Enerflex Systems, Williams Companies, Dynegy Energy and Siemens AG. Tim’s business experience provides for project development and deal origination, transaction structuring and negotiations, tax, due diligence, midstream asset operations/optimization, as well as corporate strategic direction and leadership.
Guido Bachmann P.Eng.
Guido brings a proven track record of identifying and evaluating new business opportunities, as well as marshalling the requisite technical, financial and government resources to bring ventures from inception through implementation to commercial operations. Guido is well-versed in analyzing and evaluating infrastructure investment projects, with an emphasis on gas processing and electric power infrastructure, and reserves evaluation to ensure the obtention of critical financial and engineering parameters. A recent project entailed the successful financing of the $1.55 billion Cascade Power Project, which included the development and negotiation of all key contracts, entailing provincial and federal regulatory authorizations, gas supply, detailed reserves evaluation, technical equipment selection, engineering, and public stakeholder consultation.
Lorne Carson LLB, P.Eng.
Lorne is a former partner of Osler Hoskin & Harcourt LLP and of Bennett Jones LLP. Lorne is also a Professional Engineer (non-practicing). His practice focuses on project development and finance in the oil and gas, pipeline, petro-chemical, electrical power, renewables, and infrastructure sectors. In particular, Lorne has experience with loans in both the bank and capital markets and has been involved in a number of the larger project development and project finance transactions in Canada. Lorne has also had significant experience with international project development and project finance transactions and practices in the lending and structured finance areas. Lorne is skilled at managing complexities of multi-party ownership, joint ventures, combined financings and governance and intercreditor issues.
Mark Wilk B.Comm., MBA
Mark is a well-established figure in the capital markets industry with over 30 years of experience working with capital providers across the capital stack of US and Canadian companies. His experience includes private equity, venture debt, subordinated and mezzanine debt as well as senior debt lending for 2 of the big 5 chartered banks. A notable success in Mark’s career was leading the transformation and evolution of a specialized debt fund, which grew from $30 million to over $1.8 billion in AUM over 7 years, in concert with a go public transaction.
